Day 1: Bangkok - Phitsanloke
Depart from various hotels in Bangkok to Bang-Pa-In, visit the former Summer Palace of the Rama Kings, then continue to Ayuthaya the ancient capital of Siam, to visit the ruins, 3 temples. Continue to Lopburi. Lunch en route at local restaurant. Visit Prang Sam Yod and Phra Kan Shrine and then proceed to Phitsanuloke. Dinner and overnight at the Amarin Lagoon Hotel. (L/D) |
Day 2: Phitsanloke - Lampang
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel and visit the ancient city of Sukhothai, the museum and Sri Satchanalai. Lunch en route at a local restaurant. One the way stop at a local village. Continue to Lampang. Dinner and overnight at Lampang River Lodge. (B/L/D) |
Day 3: Lampang - Chiang Mai
Breakfast at the Lodge. Check out of the hotel. Visit Wat Phathat Lampang Luang and continue to visit Wat Haripoonchai in Lampoon. Lunch en route at a local restaurant. After lunch continue to visit handicraft village at Bo Sang and San Kamphaeng, which is the center of cotton industries, traditional local products, antiques from Burma and hill tribe handicrafts, hand-woven silk and cotton and wood carving. Dinner and overnight at the Chiang Mai Plaza Hotel. (B/L/D) |
Day 4: Chinag Mai
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the one of most revered temples in Chiang Mai: Wat Doi Suthep, located high in the mountains, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Chiang Mai area. Return to lunch at the hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening enjoy a Northern Thai Kantoke dinner with various shows and performances of hill tribes. Overnight at Chiang Mai Plaza Hotel. Day 5: Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel. Visit an elephant training camp to see a demonstration of elephant at work (elephant ride is optional and not included in this program). Lunch at local restaurant. Take an exciting long tail boat trip form Pha tai to Chang Rai, along the way, visit the various hill tribe villages. Dinner and overnight at Dusit Island Resort. (B/L/D) |
Day 6: Chinag Rai - Bangkok
Breakfast at hotel. Check out of the hotel. Visit local hill tribe village and continue to a small trading town of Mae Sai. Proceed to visit the "Golden Triangle", the area where Thailand, Laos and Myannmar meet. Lunch at Imperial Golden Triangle Resort. Visit the historical city of Chang Saen then transfer to Chiang Rai airport. (B/L)
