
RESERVATION & PAYMENT
Deposit of $500 per person is required at time of reservation. Full
payment must be received at least 45 days prior to departure of
tour. A late booking fee of $50 per person will be assessed for
booking within 30 days of departure.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
It is the responsibility of individual passengers to see that proper
documentation is obtained in advance of the trip. Passports of at
least six months validity are required for all tour participants.
All passengers must be in possession of visas for China, Burma,
Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, India and Nepal. Passengers must check
visa requirement for the countries they plan to visit directly with
the consulates of those countries and obtain necessary prior to
their departure. Discount Air, Inc. (DAI) will not be responsible
for alternate or additional land or air arrangement resulting from
improper documentation.
CHANGE FEE
A charge of $25 per booking will be levied for each amendment made
to a confirmed booking. Any change made after documents are issued
is subject to a $100 administration fee in addition to the change
fee from the airline or supplies.
CANCELLATION
After a reservation has been confirmed, the following cancellation
charges will apply: (per person)
· 60 days prior to departure: full refund, less $150 per
person handling fee.
· 59-30 days prior departure: a handling fee of $300 will
be charged.
· 29-8 days prior to departure: a handling fee of $600 will
be charged.
· 7-1 days prior to departure: 50% of the tour price or $1000
per person, which-ever is higher, will be charged.
· 100% forfeiture of tour price on day of departure.
· No refund will be granted for unused land portion.
· Notice of cancellation must be made in writing no later
than 30 days after termination of trip.
HEALTH
Currently none of the countries included in the itineraries require
a certification of vaccination if originating from North America.
However, it is subject to change at any time. Please check with
booking agent to ascertain which, if any, countries in the tour
require proof of any inoculation. It is the passenger's responsibility
to take all precaution with regards health regulations.
BAGGAGE
For international flights, it is limited to 2 checked suitcases
per person, the total dimensions of which must not exceed 106 inches
(with no piece may exceed 62 inches). For flights within the Orient
and China baggage may not exceed 44 lbs or 20 kilograms. Additionally,
one piece of carry-on luggage is allowed which may not exceed total
dimensions of 45 inches. Excess baggage charges are strictly enforced
and it is the responsibility of the passenger to pay these charges
at the airport before departure.
TOUR ARRANGEMENT
Overseas land operators reserve the right to change the schedules,
hotels, means of transportation and sightseeing without notice,
credit or refund. Sightseeing tours could be seat-in-coach/join-in
tours by motor-coach with English-speaking guide, or private tours
by car with English-speaking guide, depending on each destination.
Arrival and departure transfers could be by airport shuttle bus/train
with or without guide, or by private car with or without English-speaking
guide depending on each destination. This will be clearly stated
on tour documents. Land Only price include air or surface transportation
between cities within Asia on the itinerary unless otherwise specified.
INSURANCE
We highly recommend all travelers to purchase trip cancellation,
hospital, medical, and baggage insurance to protect their travel
plans.
PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE
Excess baggage claims, drinks and liquor extra to meals, airport
taxes, all items of a personal nature, tips to drivers and guides,
U.S. departure tax, customs user's fees, and visa fees are not included
in tour package rates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
DAI is only acting as an agent for the companies they represent
in selling services or in accepting reservations or bookings for
services that are not directly supplied by this travel agency (such
as carriage, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals,
tour cruises, etc.) This agency therefore shall not be responsible
for breach of contract or any intentional or careless actions or
omissions on part of such suppliers, which result in any loss, damage,
delay or injury to you or your travel companions or group members.
DAI shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses
caused to any traveler in connection with terrorist activities,
social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction difficulties,
diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions or
developments, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions, outside
the DAI's control. By embarking up on his/her travel, the traveler
voluntarily assumes all risks involved with such travel, where expected
or unexpected. DAI reserves the right to decline, accept or retain
any person as tour member and to cancel the tour prior to departure
for any reason. Your retention of ticket, reservation or booking
after issuance shall constitute a consent to the above, and an agreement
on your part to convey the contents here to your travel companions
or group members.
